Mango-Pineapple Salsa
Salsa tastes great on fish tacos, nachos, or serve with your favorite chips.
Ingredients
• 1 small finely chopped onion
• 1 small finely chopped red onion (optional)
• 1 fresh chopped jalapeño (seeds removed)
• 2 cups mango, diced (fresh if available. If not, drain juice)
• 2 cups pineapple, diced (fresh if available. If not, drain juice)
• 2 tbsp chopped fresh (dried will work) parsley/cilantro (cilantro offers more flavor)
• 1 small freshly squeezed lime juice
• 1 small freshly squeezed lemon juice
• 1 tsp sea salt
• 1 tsp cracked pepper
• 1 tsp cumin powder
• 1 tsp chili powder
• 1 tsp Tajin with lime seasoning
• 2-3 tsp of your favorite hot sauce (I suggest my Honolulu Habanero sauce 😉)
Directions:
Chop all ingredients
Mix all ingredients
taste and adjust accordingly. (remember you can always add hard to take away 😉)
Tips:
For extra flavor, grill mango and pineapple before chopping
Best if made 30 mins to 2 hours in advance to let the flavors infuse and reduce the onion bite
